Breaking Down the Struggle #financial & #goals {Part 1} #DollarsAndDreams

Series Title: Dollars & Dreams
Tagline: Tracking the journey from financial struggle to building a simpler future.

I've chatted some here and on TikTok (by the way, you can follow me there @whiskeyandwool) about the goals I have to live a simpler life.

I'll start this by reminding everyone simple ways to help:

1) Follow me - on my blog, on twitter, on TikTok, like my facebook page

2) Share - my blog posts anywhere you can on social media, like and share my TikTok and Twitter content, like and share items on my Facebook page

3) Comment - on my blog, on my TikTok, my Facebook page, and my Twitter

4) Follow and share my Amazon Author Page

5) Read my Books - If you already have a Kindle Unlimited subscription, it's FREE to read them and I get a small amount per page

For transparency, here's where I am for August (before we move on):

Now for a little background:

I am single.

I have two adult children (one boy, one girl) that live with me.

Neither drive or have a license.

Neither have a job.

One has two kids and they live with us as well.

I have a car payment and a truck payment.

I have a truck that needs repairs.

I have a car that needs repairs.

I have a land payment (on a very small property to get me started toward my goal).

I have several properties that I paid tax liens on (foreclosure option dates are in 2027)

I do all the cooking and cleaning at home.

I work a corporate job (the money is ok, but honestly not enough to support all of us).

I am working hard for my next promotion.

I am working hard at releasing books I've written over the last 20 years that I never thought I'd actually want to publish.

I have regular bills: car insurance, co-op buy in, electric, gas, water, trash, internet, amazon prime, hulu, netflix, cell phone (for all 3 of us).

Additionally, there are bills for: food, gas, car maintenance, clothes for the kids, a toy here and there for the kids, hygiene items for everyone, diapers, wipes, and so on. (I have not purchase any new clothing for myself since a 2020)

I have rent to pay (and when it's late - they sure do hit me with a huge amount of fees).

I have a loans and other bills that I am getting stuck with due to a divorce in 2019 (have court papers on my desk currently for one of them).

I have student loans.

Hopefully you'll be invested in this honest, raw, and transparent series from me and will watch for part 2 where I will add some numbers in here. I want to get this started for August so I can show that I was able to make a small amount of progress.
