#DollarsAndDreams {Part 3} - August 2025

The last couple of days I've been setting up our background and initial starting point for this series (where it will no longer be daily posts lol).

Today I am going to build off the last couple of posts and get where I was at the beginning of August set in. For August, I am not tracking gas, food, diapers, and other more misc expense as I did not fully track them, but will be in the future. I am unable to do no spend months due to grandkids, but I try to keep the budgeting as tight as I can, which is also one of the reasons that I utilize the local co-op buy ins.

Let's dive in --- >

I was unable to pay Aug rent on time, so with late fees it was $2700

September rent due by the 3rd of Sept $2100

I have not been able to pay my water/trash Aug bill, but July was paid.

Internet is paid for Aug

Car insurance for Aug has not been paid (I still have a few more weeks that it will stay valid until I can pay, there will be an additional fee associated with it) - $350 with fees

Cell bill for Aug has not been paid, as with the above, I do have a couple weeks of leeway

Car payment for Aug is paid

Truck payment for Aug is not made, it is also behind - I still owe June and July as well

Obviously no money will be set aside this month for either vehicle repair.

Land payment - I was able to pay Aug, July past due, and June past due this month

Co-op buy in for this month has not been paid, I may have to miss out on a couple of weeks of opportunity.

Gas bill for Aug has not been paid

Nothing is available to go toward divorce bills or student loans

Amazon prime, Hulu, Netflix - paid

Electric is paid for Aug

Total of my bills as of Aug 1 (including all bill amounts that are late, excluding vehicle repairs, divorce bills, and student loans). -- $9600

In my upcoming September post I will show what's been paid, what will be due for the month, what I have managed to catch up on....and I will keep a list of unexpected expenses as well as a better detailed idea of the misc spending I do on food, gas, grandkids, etc.

Stay tuned on this journey to catching up and getting back off grid (the kids have said they may not come)
